By downloading, installing, or using the Mawa mobile application, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use.
If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the app and should uninstall it immediately.
These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the creators of Mawa.
Use of the App
Permitted Use
Mawa is provided for personal, non-commercial use to assist in Islamic worship, including prayer times, Quran reading, dhikr tracking, and spiritual reminders.
Account & Cloud Features
Mawa may offer optional sign-in with supported identity providers and optional cloud sync or backup features. If you use these features, you are responsible for maintaining access to your account and understanding that supported app data may be stored with our service providers to enable sync and restore.
License Grant
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on your personal devices for worship and spiritual purposes.
Restrictions
You may not modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works based on the app without explicit permission.
Prayer Times, Quran & Dhikr Content
Prayer times are calculated based on your location and established Islamic calculation methods
Quran text is sourced from authentic Islamic sources and verified translations
Dhikr and dua content is based on authentic Islamic traditions and scholarly sources
While we strive for accuracy, users should verify with local Islamic authorities for religious guidance
Notifications & Reminder Features
The app provides prayer time notifications, dhikr reminders, and spiritual prompts to support your worship routine. These notifications are generated locally on your device even if you also use optional account or cloud features.
You can customize notification settings at any time. We are not responsible if notifications fail due to device settings, battery optimization, or system limitations.
User Responsibilities
Use the app respectfully and in accordance with Islamic principles
Verify prayer times with local Islamic authorities when necessary
Keep your device secure and protect your personal data
Report any technical issues or content concerns to our support team
Use the app only for lawful purposes and personal spiritual benefit
Intellectual Property
The Mawa app, including its design, features, and original content, is protected by intellectual property laws. The app name, logo, and user interface are our proprietary assets.
Quranic text is in the public domain. Translations and audio recitations are used with permission or under appropriate licenses from their respective creators.
You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without explicit written permission.
Disclaimer
Mawa is provided as a worship assistance tool. While we strive for accuracy in prayer times, Quranic content, and Islamic information, we cannot guarantee absolute precision.
The app is not a substitute for religious scholarship or guidance from qualified Islamic authorities. Users should consult local mosques and scholars for religious matters.
Prayer time calculations may vary based on location, calculation method, and local customs. Always verify with your local Islamic community.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the creators of Mawa shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
This includes but is not limited to missed prayers due to notification failures, incorrect prayer times, or any technical issues with the app.
Changes to the Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. When we make changes, we will notify users through the app and update the "Last Updated" date.
Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. If you disagree with the changes, you should stop using the app.
